Jezerski hram, Lake Cerknica Museum
It is the first museum dedicated entirely to Lake Cerknica, where you can learn about the life of this extraordinary intermittent lake. A live model shows how the lake fills with water and how it dries up. With expert guidance, you can follow the sounds of nature – from birdsong to the sound of water – and really feel the pulse of this special world.
In the Lake House – Jezerski hram you will also find an exhibition on ethnology and multimedia content on the four seasons of the lake. The Ethnological Park is arranged outdoors with a workshop of traditional dugout boats – drevak, registered in the National Register of Intangible Heritage, a collection of tools and an interactive board on the 100 birds of Lake Cerknica.
The museum is also accessible to people with reduced mobility.
