Mihelčič Farm

The Mihelčič Farm, known locally as “pri Lovričevih”, is situated at the edge of Cerknica polje, in the village of Grahovo. With its rich history, the farm is now synonymous with authentic homemade dairy and bakery products, lovingly prepared by the Mihelčič family according to traditional recipes. Much effort goes into every product – harvesting hay, caring for the animals on a daily basis, stoking the home fire and pouring warm milk into bottles. The whole story, from the hard-working hands of the farmer to the dedication of the housewife, is the added value of their farm. A wide range of products are made from cow’s milk to satisfy even the most demanding tastes. Their delicacies include fresh milk, various types of cheese, quark, homemade yoghurt, soured milk, kefir and butter. Every Saturday, they sell warm doughnuts, bread, biscuits and gibanica at the market. In the warmer months, they also offer refreshing homemade ice cream.
