Javorniki

The forested hills between Lake Pivka and Lake Cerknica, from the Postojna Gate to the Leskova Valley in the Lož Valley, invite you to ascend Veliki Javornik (1268m), Mali Javornik (1199m) and the viewpoint of Baba (1127m).

The ascent to Veliki Javornik is a tour that rewards you at the top with views of Snežnik and Triglav. The hike to Mali Javornik is an experience in the peaceful silence of the forests. The path to Baba is the least difficult. It gives a magnificent view of Lake Cerknica.

The extensive network of trails offers easy hikes as well as more challenging and longer treks. MTB and gravel cyclists are also attracted by the forest paths and gravel roads. In winter, Javorniki is explored by cross-country skiers.
