The experience begins at the Ecomuseum of the Pivka Intermittent Lakes with an entertaining tour that reveals the secrets of these unusual lakes and other karst phenomena. Once you’re familiar with the area’s natural wonders, Martin Krpan himself leads you on a walk to Petelinje Lake. Along the way, you’ll hear tales of smugglers, secret routes, and the courage, wit and rebellious spirit of Slovenia’s legendary literary hero.
The evening concludes with a tasting at the Žužek Family Farm, where you’ll sample homemade cheeses, cured meats and seasonal rural delicacies. The experience is intended for curious travellers, culture enthusiasts, families and anyone looking to discover Pivka in a fun and engaging way.
