Comprehensive assessment and management of karst water resources: from research to the supply of drinking water in the catchment area of the Malenščica water source.

Kovod Postojna cordially invites you to a lecture on Tuesday, 21 April 2026, at 5:00 p.m., entitled: Comprehensive Assessment and Management of Karst Water Resources: From Research to the Supply of Drinking Water in the Catchment Area of the Malenščica Water Source.

During the lecture, Dr Blaž Kogovšek and Professor Franci Gabrovšek (Karst Research Institute, ZRC SAZU) will present research findings and activities carried out במסגרת the project “Identification of a New Water Source in the Municipalities of Postojna and Pivka.” The project is focused on securing additional and reliable water resources, as well as improving the long-term safety of drinking water supply in the municipalities of Postojna and Pivka.

The lecture will highlight the importance of investigating karst hinterlands, assessing water resources, and the connection between scientific research and practical solutions for the sustainable management of water resources.
